FINALLY HERE for your viewing pleasure: Hell Haw video – and leave John 5 a birthday message too!

John 5 and The Creatures Hell Haw video

As John 5 fans will have noticed, the latest John 5 and The Creatures single “Hell Haw” was missing a video. This is because touring etc has meant things have been delayed a little BUT never fear, HELL HAW is here! The video release has been timed to coincide with John 5’s birthday (today July 31). Don’t forget to leave him a happy birthday message here, or on twitter or Facebook.

The video, directed and edited by Matt Zane of Lord Zane Productions, features guest appearances from Red Hot Rita, Piggy D, Dr Ood, Mad Mad Mindy, Grandpa Bob Bob, Sasha Sin and Howdy Hell. The Creatures are Rodger Carter (Drums) and Ian Ross (Bass)

Don’t forget you can purchase the single from wherever digital music is sold.

Please note,  for our younger viewers, there are some jokes in the beginning part of the video which may be seen as mildly adult in nature.

DC’s Brightest Young Things talks haunting memories with John 5 and Piggy D

Brightest Young Things John 5Great interview from Brightest Young Things with John 5 and his Zombie bandmate Piggy D on the eve of the New York City show.

Piggy D. plays bass for Rob Zombie, as well as having his own great solo project and work with the band Black Foxx. He’s also a graphic designer and artist, having designed the cover for a Lita Ford album, among others. His debut solo album, The Evacuation Plan, is worth checking out, and songs like “Locust Dance” and “God Save the Queen Bee” are killer. You’ll be able to hear and see his bass playing prowess on his current tour with Rob Zombie.

John Lowery was given the nickname John 5 the day he joined Marilyn Manson’s band. A versatile session guitarist known for his speed as well as his keen goth fashion sense (imagine Brandon Lee in The Crow), after moving to L.A. at 18 he scored high-profile gigs touring with Lita Ford and k.d. lang based on his work scoring soundtracks and commercials with producer Bob Marlette. For months John 5 fans have been anticipating the new album God Told Me To.  We can now reveal not only the release date but the fantastic cover art, which features a painting of John 5 by Rob Zombie.

God Told Me To, which is the sixth solo album from the guitarist, will be released on April 10 2012.

John 5 states the album will be “half acoustic and half metal and feature music that will blow you away”.  He has already wetted the fans appetite by releasing four digital singles from the album: Beat It, Welcome to Violence, Noche Acosador and The Castle.

As well as the stunning cover art by Rob Zombie, art from the solo singles will also feature within the album.  The single covers were created by Piggy D and Emma (J5’s web manager) from Nineteen76-Designs.

John 5 and Friends at Drop in the Bucket [videos]

As mentioned last week, John 5 and other members of Rob Zombie (Piggy D and Ginger Fish) would be joining Henry Rollins, Corey Taylor and Dave Navarro (amongst others) for a benefit concert in Hollywood’s Avalon Theater, raising awareness and money for a charity called ‘Drop in the Bucket’.

The charity raises money to ensure children across the world have access to clean water – as their motto says “clean water is a human right”.

That concert took place last night and was a very successful event. A number of videos are now available to watch from last nights event.  Check them out below:
