He also teases about a new solo album. “For an album title he’s leaning towards “Making Monsters”, based on the idea of the old Aurora monster kits. He says the album will be another instrumental album stating “I already have a singer…he’s [Rob Zombie] about as good as it gets”. Backing up John on the new album will be Ian Ross on bass guitar and Rodger Carter on drums.”

The brand new and very first Greatest Hits album from John 5, will come out digitally on Oct 31.  You will be able to purchase a physical copy from the store in November complete with a DVD of one of the John 5 and The Creatures shows from earlier this year.

The Creatures will be back on the road with special guest Doyle in November.

A new documentary called “Hired Gun” is currently in post production.  “Hired Gun is a compelling film about a unique fraternity of musicians that possess uncommon musical ability, but who made a conscious decision to make a living playing music in relative obscurity. Occasionally, one of them makes the big time and becomes a star in their own right.”

For the documentary, John 5 – who has worked with Dave Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Meatloaf, Rod Stewart – to name but a few – will be interviewed – along with friend and front-man Rob Zombie (still from interview footage above) .

In a couple of weeks time, John 5 will embark on his first solo tour.  Complete with a drummer (the legendary Rodger Carter) and bassist (step up Mr Ian Ross), John 5 will be touring dates in the West Coast and mid-states.  If scheduling with Zombie allows (” My first priority is Rob Zombie. I just have to check with scheduling and see how we’re looking in the world of Zombie.”), the show will expand to the East Coast too.
