\nWhat goes on the Rob Zombie dressing room before a gig?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s usually just us getting ready, getting our make up on and stuff. I usually just listen to music and we talk about the show \u2013 it\u2019s so big, so we go through everything \u2013 the pyro cues and all that stuff.\u00a0
\nWhat do you to prepare as a guitarist?<\/strong>
\nI always warm up. I usually just have the guitar in my hands. If I\u2019m not in the shower or sleeping, I\u2019m usually playing guitar.<\/p>\n

How long have you been playing?<\/strong>
\nSince I was 7 years old. I was always obsessive about it when I was little \u2013 my left hand grew larger than the right, because I would stretch all the time. Actually, I\u2019ll show you \u2013 it\u2019s really weird. [PUTS HANDS TOGETHER AND STRETCHES FINGERS \u2013 ONE DEFINITELY WIDER THAN THE OTHER].<\/p>\n

Rob told us that this band line up formed at a benefit gig years ago \u2013 how did it come together?<\/strong>
\nWe were doing a benefit git for the tsunami, and I knew all the White Zombie songs. Me and Rob just clicked, and I said \u201cHey, if you ever need a guitar player, I\u2019m here for you.\u201d He said \u201cWell, I\u2019ll let you know\u201d. We did Ozzfest, and he said \u201cDon\u2019t get comfortable, it\u2019s only 6 weeks.\u201d Luckily, 6 weeks turned in to 6 years, and it\u2019s been going great ever since.<\/p>\n

What are you bringing to the Download stage tonight?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s going to be a massive, massive, massive show. We have everything – it\u2019s gonna be one of our biggest shows ever. We\u2019re doing it especially just for this show.<\/p>\n

Have you played Donington before, John?<\/strong>
\nYes, a tonne of times. I can remember when it was Monsters of Rock, and it\u2019s a true honour to be part of it. I love it, it\u2019s a true part of rock n roll history. This is one of the greatest rock festivals in the world.<\/p>\n

What are you listening to right now [POINTS TO iPOD]?<\/strong>
\nI have everything. I was just listening to Slipknot, now I\u2019m listening to Willie Nelson.<\/p>\n

Do you enjoy any other genres outside of the spectrum of rock?<\/strong>
\nOh yeah. Well, Willie Nelson\u2019s right there. I love country music, of course. I love everything. That\u2019s what I\u2019m known for, just playing every weird style of music I can \u2013 I love it. [PLAYS A SWEET-ASS COUNTRY RIFF ON GUITAR].<\/p>\n

I love watching a band with just four people and being blown away by a huge wall of sound. Do you ever take that power for granted?<\/strong>
\nI think about that sometimes. I have a guitar solo during the show, and I think wow, I\u2019m the only person that all these people can hear right now. I don\u2019t take it for granted.
\n
\nWhat are you going to do between now and the gig?<\/strong>
\nI love to go see bands, but right now it\u2019s crap weather. I usually get ready about an hour before the show.<\/p>\n

And what about after the gig?<\/strong>
\nI think we\u2019re going back to London, because we\u2019ve got a long drive.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t wait for tonight John \u2013 good luck.<\/strong>
