John 5 is to release the first single from his album God Told Me To on August 29.<\/p>\n

The track, Beat It, is an instrumental cover of the Michael Jackson classic.<\/p>\n

The track is released on what would have been Michael Jackson’s 53rd birthday. \u00a0Jackson died prematurely in 2009 following a long career which started at an early age with his siblings in The Jackson Five, before a successful solo career in his adult life. \u00a0Beat It was a track from Jackson’s critically acclaimed album Thriller and was released as a single in 1983. \u00a0The original single featured a guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen.<\/p>\n

John 5 had performed the track as part of the Rob Zombie tour, “Halloween Hootenanny”. \u00a0You can see an amateur fan video below of John 5 performing it live.<\/p>\n
