John 5 will join Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Mike Portney, Billy Sheehan and Derek Sherinian, to play a benefit concert for guitar and keyboard master Tony MacAlpine, who has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer.<\/p>\n

Taking place at the Wiltern Theater in LA in December 12 at 7pm, the Benefit for Tony MacAlpine will include an extraordinary music event hosted by That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk. There will also be an auction where\u00a0Steve Vai, John 5, Paul Gilbert, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Lukather, Steve Stevens and Joe Satriani have donated their personal guitars to be auctioned during the event.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the event, John 5 says:\u00a0\u201cTony has been such an inspiration to me. He’s an incredible musician and an unbelievable talent. Please let’s all come together and beat this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets are on sale 10 a.m. PT November 7 via\u00a0LiveNation.com<\/a>, and\u00a0all proceeds will go to help\u00a0Tony and his family. In addition, a\u00a0GoFundMe campaign will be set up for fans who can\u2019t make the show, but still want to contribute.<\/p>\n
