Whether he\u2019s peeling off hyperspeed chicken-pickin\u2019 lines, replicating cascading banjo rolls, or dispatching immaculate, sweep-picked solos, there seems to be no end to his knowledge or skill set.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI appreciate anything that\u2019s done well,\u201d John states. \u201cYou could be throwing knives or juggling bowling pins, and I\u2019ll be amazed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBut with music, it goes a lot further. If I hear a bluegrass player killin\u2019 it, I\u2019m like, \u2018I have to play that!\u2019 And if I hear a metal player rippin\u2019 it, my brain just fries. So I have to learn what they\u2019re doing and execute it perfectly.
