John 5 will appear with Rob Zombie on this weekend’s episode of TRUNKFEST WITH EDDIE TRUNK – LOUDER THAN LIFE.
Heavy metal and hard rock is what Eddie Trunk knows best, so where better to explore a festival than in Louisville, Kentucky for the Louder Than Life festival! On this week’s episode of TrunkFest, Eddie is just like any other metal fan there in attendance as he takes in everything the festival has to offer. Although, having your own show has its perks: Eddie chats with music icon Rob Zombie and metal guitarist John 5 about what it’s like to play at this festival. John 5 joins Bowl For Ronnie on November 4th
John 5 will be joining the 2nd Annual, Bowl For Ronnie charity event to benefit the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund on Friday, November 4, 2016.
The event which takes place at the Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City, California, is hosted by Edie Trunk and John 5 will be on his team.
Promised is “an evening of fun, food, entertainment and, of course, bowling with rock stars and celebrities competing for trophies in the name of raising funds and awareness for the RJD SUAS Cancer Fund. A live auction will include collectibles autographed by artists and many more major items.”

John 5 signs up for Tony MacAlpine Benefit Show
John 5 will join Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Mike Portney, Billy Sheehan and Derek Sherinian, to play a benefit concert for guitar and keyboard master Tony MacAlpine, who has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer.
Taking place at the Wiltern Theater in LA in December 12 at 7pm, the Benefit for Tony MacAlpine will include an extraordinary music event hosted by That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk. There will also be an auction where Steve Vai, John 5, Paul Gilbert, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Lukather, Steve Stevens and Joe Satriani have donated their personal guitars to be auctioned during the event.
Speaking about the event, John 5 says: “Tony has been such an inspiration to me. He’s an incredible musician and an unbelievable talent. Please let’s all come together and beat this.”
Tickets are on sale 10 a.m. PT November 7 via LiveNation.com, and all proceeds will go to help Tony and his family. In addition, a GoFundMe campaign will be set up for fans who can’t make the show, but still want to contribute.

John 5 and Rob Zombie to appear on season 12 of That Metal Show
That Metal Show have just released the guest line-up for Season 12 of VH1’s That Metal Show and John 5 and Rob Zombie are scheduled to appear. John 5 is no stranger to TMS after appearing as the guitarist several times. Actual on-air times are still TBA but according to TMS’ Eddie Truck: “We start taping in L.A. 4/27 for eight all new shows that will begin premiering on VH1 Classic June 1st at 11PM ET“.
