John 5 and The Creatures announce first ever Australian tour dates in 2020.
JOHN 5 is heading to Australia, for his first ever solo shows here, to shred our nation to pieces thanks to Silverback Touring. Accompanying him is American blues-rock guitarist and singer JARED JAMES NICHOLS who is rated as one of the hottest players on the scene, also making his debut appearance in Australia.
Comments John “I am so excited that I’m coming to Australia with the creatures there’s gonna be a lot of pickin, tappin, bendin, slappin so get ready Australia and let’s get weird !!!”
Joining them on this three-date tour is JARED JAMES NICHOLS, who has toured with The Creatures on both legs of the Invasion 2019 tour in the USA. NICHOLS is best known for his high-energy performances and ‘pick-less’ electric guitar playing technique. He is rarely seen without playing his “signature” single-pickup Gibson Les Paul Custom P90 nick-named Old Glory. He fronts a power trio under his name, rooted in the early 1970s hard-rock vein of Cream and Mountain.
Get set for a night of pure guitar driven ecstasy where shred meets the blues and plenty of technical genius on display.
Also joining on the tour, to complete the line-up, will be Australia’s From Love To Violence, band who draw “from their creative influences, experimenting in a combination of heavy\dance\ electronic\rock to form a unique sound that gets your blood pumping and leaves you wanting more!!”

John 5 and The Creatures add additional date to Invasion Part 2 tour this Fall!
Last week John 5 and The Creatures announced that they will be back on the road from November this year, teaming up with Jared James Nichols and Reverend Jack for what is being billed “Invasion Part 2”.
In addition to the 22 dates already announced, The Creatures are happy to be adding a new date:
- November 10th at Barleycorn’s in Wichita Kansas.

Fresh on the back of last week’s release of the amazing new John 5 and The Creatures album Invasion, the band are announcing a US tour which will start this October 30th at the Music Factory in Battle Creek, MI.
Joining The Creatures on this 22 date tour, is Jared James Nichols, who earlier this year teamed up for the Invasion (part 1) tour. Also The Creatures are welcoming Reverend Jack to the line-up.

“MIDNIGHT MASS” THE NEW SINGLE FROM JOHN 5 & THE CREATURES, AVAILABLE TO BUY OR STREAM FROM TODAY!
It’s the first of the month, which means in addition to your bills being due, it’s time for a new JOHN 5 video! JOHN 5 and The Creatures – comprised of world-renowned guitarist JOHN 5, bassist Ian Ross and drummer Logan Miles Nix – have released yet another visually-stunning music video in support of their forthcoming full-length album, Invasion.
The new video, this time for the track “Midnight Mass”, features exclusive behind-the-scenes tour clips and live performance footage (featuring a few exciting cameos here and there) from the current JOHN 5 and The CreaturesInvasion headline tour. The video was directed by Chris Huber, and the single cover art (above) was created by Brett Boggs.

John 5 is the cover artist for Performer Magazines big interview in their Dec/Jan ’19 issue out now.
In the article which is available to purchase here, or read online, John talks about his upcoming Invasion tour with Jared James Nichols, releasing the next Creatures album via a series of unique music videos (see the first video ZOINKS! here), his influences, his work with Rob Zombie, advice for fellow musicians and how his creative process works:
“I’m always honest with myself. So, what that means is…it’s hard to explain. I love to play a certain way, I love to sit on the couch and play guitar. That’s all that I do, and I love playing different styles of music. If something is done really well, I’m into it. So, that’s what keeps me always playing, and keeps me trying to master all these different styles.
So that’s what I do on my records. If I love Chet Atkins, I’m going to put that on my record. It’s a little unorthodox, with all these different kinds of styles, but I love it and it’s honest. And I think that’s what people enjoy about the records; it’s just who I am. I’m not trying to be something I’m not.”

John 5 and The Creatures have added a new date to their Invasion 2019 tour with support from Jared James Nichols.
This time they will be heading to The Dip in Redding, CA on April 4.

JOHN 5 AND THE CREATURES Announce New Album Details & Winter/Spring 2019 Tour Dates
JOHN 5 and The Creatures are following up on this year’s live album release, It’s Alive!, with a brand new full-length studio album coming in 2019! The new album, entitled Invasion, will be teased on New Year’s Day 2019 by way of a brand new music video for the new track Zoinks! In the tradition of Scooby Doo and Groovie Goolies, Zoinks! is an innovative blend of classic 2D hand drawn animation, 3D computer generated imagery and live action. The video is written and directed by Disney animator Brett Broggs (Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph), with live footage shot by Matt Zane. It stars the voice talents of John 5 as himself and Fred Coury as Dirty Chavez, it also features guest stars Susan Olsen (The Brady Bunch), Jess Harnell (Animaniacs,Transformers), Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) and John 5’s lovely wife Rita. There is an additional score on the video by by Fred Coury (Cinderella) and John 5.
Fans should stay tuned for the video coming on New Year’s Day! The official release date for Invasion will be announced in 2019. Invasion was produced and mixed by Barry Pointer, and will be released via a series of music videos, just as JOHN 5 released his 2017 studio release, Season of the Witch.
In celebration of the upcoming album, JOHN 5 and The Creatures will kick off the second leg of his North American Invasion Tour on February 22, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. The tour will feature support from blues-rock guitarist Jared James Nichols. JOHN 5 says, “Get ready for the Invasion tour! I will be playing some new songs from my new record, Invasion, a brand new medley, and much more. I’m really excited to have Jared James Nichols out with us. This tour is something you’re not going to want to miss!”
Jared James Nichols adds, “As a young budding guitarist, I grew up with a Guitar World cut out picture of JOHN 5 on my bedroom wall. He was always one of my ‘Guitar heroes’. He is the total package… insane technique, amazing musicality, with a style and look all of his own. Needless to say, when I got the call for this tour, my jaw dropped. I’m absolutely honored to warm up the stage for him every night across America and Canada. I’m getting my chops ready to tear it up!”
