John 5 speaks to Revolver about the albums that made him

From Revolver Magazine:

What it all comes down to, and what John 5 makes clear in the following interview, is that regardless of all the success he’s had as a solo artist or playing alongside everyone from Rob Zombie to Marilyn Manson to Rob Halford to David Lee Roth, he’s still as much of a fan as he ever was. “All these records that I’m talking about here, I listen to them still today,” he says. “I’m still obsessed with Kiss. I’m still obsessed with Van Halen. I guess we don’t change that much from being kids.” He laughs. “Either we don’t change that much or we just have really good taste.”

John 5 and The Creatures are out on the road for their March tour.  However before they went out, Music Radar sat with John as he shared his top ten records that changed his life with them.

The list includes artists such as The Monkees, Metallica and Joe Maphis. John 5 credits Maphis with being one of the inspirations for the first song he released this year Black Grass Plague. “I want everyone that reads this to go on YouTube and type in Joe Maphis to check out a few of his videos. He was from the 50s so there’s not many floating around, but you’ll be able to see how much of an inspiration he’s been to me, especially my first single this year, Black Grass Plague. Please do this… because inspiration is hard to find and this is something you all need to see!”
