As has been previously reported, John 5 is joining a whole host of stars including Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper for the Hired Gun: Out of the Shadows, Into the Spotlight documentary.
In this exclusive clip released to Ultimate Guitar, John 5 recalls the moment he met “metal god” Rob Halford, whom John collaborated with for the band 2wo.
“Working with Rob Halford was incredible, because we all love the metal god,” John 5 says in the clip.

On April 7, John 5 and The Creatures will be taking their Season of the Witch tour to Blackthorn 51 in Queens. Ahead of that show John 5 chatted to the Long Island Pulse about how he tackles the different styles of music he plays: “I did heavy stuff, western swing…the album goes in all different styles of music. It’s a lot of fun. There’s a little something for everybody. That’s just who I am—I love all these different styles of music. And it’s from the heart. I think fans really latch onto that.”
They also talk about his new album Season of the Witch and some of the people he has worked with over the years.

See John 5 in 2wo – Live treat of archive concert footage [Watch]
YouTube is a wonderful creation, especially when you are laid up in bed with a bad cold (Emma, J5’s web manager). Watching on my iPad, I came a cross a rare treat to share with John 5 fans – see John 5 with Rob Halford in a rare video footage of a 2wo (Two) gig (34 minutes long).
Filmed in Wisconsin, watch classics such as I’m a Pig, Waters Leaking, Wake Up and more. The show, from what I can tell is from a festival called Summerfest.
The first 30 odd seconds of the video footage are blank – you can hear but not see – but the rest is John 5 and Rob Halford metal madness.
