John 5’s new album, God Told Me To is coming out on May 8, a few days before John 5 embarks on a co-headlining tour as guitarist with Rob Zombie, with tour partners Megadeth.
The album, which John 5 describes as “half acoustic and half metal and feature music that will blow you away” and also will have an accompanying DVD which will show John 5 “actually recording the songs as well as behind the scenes of a “day in the life” of JOHN 5!” is the sixth instrumental album from the guitarist who as well as being Rob Zombie’s right hand man, has worked with many great names including KD Lang, Rob Halford, Marilyn Manson, Paul Stanley and Rod Stewart.
Music Radar recently reviewed the album and said “the fresh acoustic direction suddenly opens a new dimension of his character – a reality deeper than subject-matter, image or his phenomenal technique.”
